Fireballs in the Sky is an Australian based initiative, that is supported by the Australian Government. Its purpose is to track meteorites as they fall to earth (which causes the fireballs in the sky), where through a network of digital cameras that cover approximately 1/3 of the Australian sky, their trajectories can be triangulated to where it lands and back to where it came from in the solar system.
As a microvolunteer, you can record these events via their website or smartphone app, where your observation will be combined with other users to provide a more accurate understanding of a meteorite event.
No experience is necessary as the website/app provides all the information you need to become a meteorite citizen scientist. Suitable for citizens living in Australia.
Available via an iPhone or Android smartphone apps.
