Poor standards of web accessibility mean many disabled people are excluded from using big parts of the internet. For instance, in the UK alone, 6 million web users are excluded to some extent from 80% of websites, whilst 30.4% of a blind person’s time is wasted on-line dealing with access issues.
Fix the Web is offering a solution! Disabled people report problems to Fix The Web, after which registered volunteers take these issues forward with the website owners in order to try and resolve the problems. Become a Reporter or a Volunteer to make the web more accessible to others.
