Actions 4 Causes
Looking for things to do to enhance or compliment the activities of your organisation? We can provide tailor made lists of microvolunteering actions that will fit in with the ethos of your cause that may for instance, encourage people to visit your website more often, provide a method to benefit your mission’s cause or just generally enable participants to become more aware of your goals and aims.
Did we say it’s a FREE service? Well, we have now!! Here’s a sample of lists we’ve provided for organisations throughout the world. Click on the logos to view the action lists.
Cardiff County Council
The initial impetus for this list came from an idea from Help From Home for Cardiff County Council to capitalise on the potential PR that might be gained from them becoming the first ‘Microvolunteer Capital of the World’.
African Mothers Foundation International
AMFI empowers African women in order for them to participate in local and international making decisions that affect their lives and enabling change in their lives. The actions were provided to enable users of this organisation to directly and indirectly make an impact in Africa via microvolunteering activities
Rayleigh, Rochford & District Lapttop Project
Lifelong Access to PCs Through Training for Older People (LAPTTOP) runs 9 week introductory courses in Rochford and Rayleigh for over 50’s who would like to learn basic computer skills. The actions provided in this list were designed to compliment the course and fit in with the aims of the Volunteer Centre running it.
It Starts With Us
The goal of ItStartsWith.Us is to build a global community of individuals focused on making a positive impact in the lives of the people around them via weekly emails of actions that can be completed in under 15 minutes. The actions were provided to compliment this service, whilst also demonstrating that a similar impact could be achieved with actions that were of a slightly different nature to the ones usually proposed.
Oasis Academy Shirley Park
Oasis Academy Shirley Park is an educational environment that nurtures the whole student – academically, vocationally, socially, morally, spiritually, emotionally and environmentally. We were invited by Shirley Park to provide some interesting and unusual microvolunteering actions as part of their students activities.
