Craftwork Actions

From quilts to teddy bears and dog coats to preemie clothes, there’s something for everyone in this section. Although these actions can be completed from your armchair, they’re likely take multiple sessions of 30 minutes to complete.

Quilt Making
LoveQuiltsUK is a world-wide group of stitchers who cross stitch squares that are then joined together into beautiful quilts for British children under the age of 19 years, who have life threatening or life-long illnesses.

Knit or Crochet Preemie Clothes
BonnieBabies call on volunteers to help them make tiny premature clothes, blankets and burial outfits for premature babies that then get passed on to UK special care baby units.

Knit a Teddy Bear or Make a Bag
Help to bring smiles to children who have no toys, via homemade teddy bears. These bears will be sent to charities in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and UK.

Knit Dog Coats
Woollies 4 Waggers call on volunteers to help them make dog coats that are then sold on the website to raise funds for an organisation that cares for rescued dogs.

Stitch Cards
Stitches of Love and Kindness (SOLAK) invite volunteers to make quilts and cushions for people with long term illnesses. These gifts are accompanied by stitch cards that bear the logo of SOLAK, which is the main focus of this action.

Knit, Crochet and Sew for Charity
Loving Hands’ volunteers knit, crochet and sew items for a wide range of charity projects like, but not limited to, woolly mammaries for ‘Boobs for Breastfeeding’, hats for British and International Sailors Society and blankets for animal shelters.
