Post Pals – Cheery Emails or Letters to Sick Kids

Postpals provides a list of very sick children in the UK, to whom you can write a card, letter, Email, sign their guestbook or even send a gift to them, all in attempt to keep them smiling during the course of their illness and hopefully, eventual recovery. In order to give you a ‘heads up’ on the person you’re writing to, Postpals provides background bios to the children on their database, as well as an updated diary / blog of the child’s progress. These blogs are usually provided by the parents and are usually kept up to date, but not always.
So, if you want to put a smile on a kids’ face who may be going through a tough time, put pen to paper (or mouse to monitor) and write a cheery letter.
Materials needed: Paper (lined or plain), writing / drawing equipment & envelope

  1. This is such a great idea, and a great way to interact with patients with illness. Also puts a smile on their face!
