Spiders have long been thought of as a useful natural method of pest control. It is not yet known how climate change will impact spiders, but understanding where spiders are living today will help in predicting what may happen to spiders in the future. By just taking photos and observing spiders, you can help the Explorit Science Center in Davis, California, learn about which climates certain spiders live in and track the distribution of spiders over time.
To participate, join the Explorit’s Community Science Project by finding and recording spiders in your home or neighborhood. Use your camera or smart phone to take a photo of the spider and submit your observations on line.
This action is applicable to North America.
