WheelMap – Locating Wheelchair Accessible Places

Wheelmap is an online map for wheelchair-accessible places around the world. As with Wikipedia, everyone can participate by tagging public places according to their accessibility. It uses a traffic light system to indicate the extent of wheelchair accessibility at a particular location – green being full wheelchair access, amber being partial access and red meaning no wheelchair access available.
Wheelmap uses the OpenStreetMap format, where locations have already been added by users from other projects. Wheelmap goes one stage further and then asks you to rate their accessibility. No registration is required for this role. However, if you know of a place that is not indicated on the map, you can always add the location yourself, but for this role you’ll need to register.
Also available on the iPhone and Android smartphone networks.
